SCAD StartUp is an annual competition where design teams (between 3-5 creatives) are given just one week to create a startup business, this year’s theme being “creating a home.”

As we began the project, we asked ourselves what it means for those who have to establish a home and live independently with a disability. This is what lead us to the idea of Theia, a service paired with an integrated IOT home system created in order to provide a more seamless lifestyle for those who are adjusting to or have recently become visually impaired.
